Beach: This is the
main beach of Cox's
Bazar and is considered the main beach due to the fact that it is closest
to the town. Close to the beach, there are hundreds of small shops selling
souvenirs and beach accessories to the tourists.
- Himchari: Located
about 18 km south of Cox’s Bazar along the sea beach, is a nice place
for the picnic and film shooting. This picnic spot is famous for its
waterfalls. The road to Himchari runs by the open sea on one side and
hills on the other which makes the journey to Himchari very attractive.
Its another attraction is the Christmas tree.
- Enani
Beach: Located
35 km south of Cox’s Bazar, this white sandy beach is located within
Ukhia Thana. This beach is famous for its golden sand and clean
shark free water which is ideal for sea bathing. Most tourists prefer to
come down here for relaxing because it is free from the crowd of tourists
that is usually seen at the Laboni beach.
Other tourist attractions near Cox's Bazar
- Maheshkhali is a small
island (268 square kilometres) off the Cox’s Bazar coast. The island
offers panoramic scenic beauty and is covered by a range of low hills,
about 300 feet (91 m) high, streatches through the center of the
island and along its eastern coastline. The coasts of the island on the
west and north form a low-lying tract that is fringed by the mangrove
forests. Adinath Temple,
a temple of Shiva,
and a Buddhist pagoda are also located on this island.
- Sonadia
Island, a small
crescent shaped island of only 9 square kilometres, it is 7-km north-west
of Cox's Bazar. The western side of the island is sandy and different
kinds of shells are found on the beach. Off the northern part of the
island, there are beds of window pane oysters. During winter, fisherman set
up temporary camps on the island and dry their catches of sea fish. Sonadia
Island supports the last
remaining part of mangrove forest in southeast Bangladesh.
Sonadia's mangroves are distinct from the well-known sunderbans, due to
their development in a coastal lagoon setting rather than in a delta.
Another attraction of this island is the sight of game birds migrating
here in great numbers during the winter seasons.
- Teknaf, a place
situated by the side of Naf river is the southernmost part of mainland Bangladesh.
This also marks the end point of Cox's Bazar beach. Tourists usually come
here to have a river cruise along beautiful Naf river, which flows between
Bangladesh
and Myanmar.
St. Martin's Island, a
small island in the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's
Bazar-Teknaf peninsula. It is the only coral island in Bangladesh. It is about 8 km west of the northwest coast of
Myanmar at the mouth of the Naf River. The local name of the island is "Narical
Gingira", also spelled "Narikel Janjina/Jinjera", translated
from Bangla, meaning 'Coconut Island'. St.
Martin's Island has become a popular tourist spot. Three shipping
liners run daily trips to the island. They are Kutubdia, Sea-Truck and
Keary-Sindbad. Tourists can book their trip either from Chittagong or from Cox's Bazar. The surrounding coral reef of
the island has an extension named Chera Dwip. The island is home to
several endangered species of turtles, as well as the corals, some of which are
found only on this island.
মাহাসিংদোগ্রী বৌদ্ধ মন্দিরের ঐতিহাসিক পটভূমি মাহাসিংদোগ্রী বৌদ্ধ মন্দির কক্সবাজার সদর উপজেলা পরিষদ থেকে ৫ কিঃ মিঃ দুরে অবস্থিত। এই বৌদ্ধমন্দির কক্সবাজার বায়তুশ শরফ কম্পপ্লেক্স এর পাশে রাখাইন পল্লীতে অবস্থিত। রিক্সা ও ব্যাটারী চালিত গাড়ী যোগে যাওয়া যায়। যাতায়াত ভাড়া প্রায় ৩০-৪০ টাকা।
কক্সবাজার সদর উপজেলা মৎস্য অবতরণ ও পাইকারী মৎস্য বাজার মৎস্য অবতরণ কেন্দ্র কক্সবাজার সদর উপজেলার পশ্চিমে ০৮ কিঃ মিটার দুরে বিমান বন্দর সড়কে অবস্থিত। রিক্সা ও ব্যাটারী চালিত গাড়ী নিয়ে যাওয়া যায়। ভাড়া আনুমানিক ৫০-৬০ টাকা। বিমান বন্দর সড়ক, কক্সবাজার।
জেলার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দর্শনীয় স্থান বাস, টম টম, জীপ, সি এন জি এর মাধ্যমে যাওয়া যায় কক্সবাজার এর বিভিন্ন উপজেলায়
পাতাবাড়ী বৌদ্ধ বিহার কক্সবাজার সদর হতে বাস যোগে উখিয়া ষ্টেশনে পৌছতে হবে। উখিয়া সদর হতে সি এন্ড জি অথবা রিক্সা যোগে পূর্ব দিকে ১ কিঃ মিঃ গেলে পাতাবাড়ী বৌদ্ধ বিহারে যাওয়া যাবে। কক্সবাজার সদর হতে ৩২ কিঃ মিঃ দূরে উখিয়া উপজেলার ১ কিঃ মিঃ পূর্বে টেকনাফ-কক্সবাজার আরাকান সড়কের পাশে অবস্থিত।
বড়ঘোপ সমূদ্র সৈকত স্থল পথে কক্সবাজার জেলা হতে চকরিয়া ও পেকুয়া হয়ে মগনামা-বড়ঘোপ ফেরী ঘাট ডেনিস যোগে কুতুবদিয়া চ্যানেলে পার হয়ে বড়ঘোপ ঘাট হতে রিক্সা যোগে বড়ঘোপ বাজার পশ্চিমে সমুদ্র সৈকত যাওয়া যায়।

তুবদিয়া উপজেলার পশ্চিমে বড়ঘোপ সমূদ্র সৈকত স্থল পথে কক্সবাজার জেলা হতে চকরিয়া ও পেকুয়া হয়ে মগনামা-বড়ঘোপ ফেরী ঘাট ডেনিস যোগে কুতুবদিয়া চ্যানেলে পার হয়ে বড়ঘোপ ঘাট হতে রিক্সা যোগে বড়ঘোপ বাজার পশ্চিমে সমুদ্র সৈকত যাওয়া যায়।
বড়ঘোপ ইউনিয়নের পশ্চিমে রাখাইন পাড়া সি.এন.জি.ও রিক্সা নিয়ে যাওয়া যায়।
খুরুশকুল ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ হতে ২ কিলোমিটার ও সদর উপজেলা পরিষদ হতে ৯ কিলোমিটার দুরে অবস্থিত এই রাখাইন পল্লী।
চৌফলদন্ডী-খুরুশকুল সংযোগ সেতু কক্সবাজার শহর থেকে মাত্র ৮কিলোমিটার উত্তরে চৌফলদন্ডী ইউনিয়নে নির্মিত।সিএসজি, বাস ও রিক্সা দিয়ে আসতে মাত্র ২০ মিনিট সময় লাগে।
মহেশখালী চ্যানেলের সাথে সংযুক্ত ইছাঁখালী নদীর উপর দিয়ে এই সেতুর অবস্থান।
কাকারা শাহওমর মাজার চট্টগ্রাম কক্সবাজার মহাসড়কের চিরিঙ্গা বাস ষ্টেশন নেমে জীপ বা সিএনজি যোগে মাজারে যাওয়া যায়। মাইজ কাকারা ,কাকারা, চকরিয়া, কক্সবাজার।
মনোমুগ্ধকর গোলাপ বাগান চট্টগ্রাম কক্সবাজার মহাসড়কের বরইতলী ইউনিয়নে প্রবেশ করার সাথে সাথে রাস্তার দুই ধারে প্রচুর গোলাপ বাগান লক্ষ্য করা যাবে। রাস্তার পূর্ব দিকে শুধু গোলাপ আর গোলাপের সমারোহ।

মগনামা ঘাট মগনামা ইউনিয়ন
ইনানী সি বীচ উখিয়া থেকে সিএনজি এবং মাইক্রো নিয়ে যাওয়া যায়। কক্সবাজার শহর হইতে ৩২ কিলোমিটার এবং যে কোন গাড়ী নিয়ে য়াওয়া যায়।
কানা রাজার সুড়ঙ্গ উখিয়া উপজেলা হতে সিএনজি এবং রিক্সা নিয়ে যাওয়া যায়। উখিয়া ১৩ কিলোমিটার। কক্সবাজার শহর হইতে ২৫ কিলোমিটার এবং উখিয়া থেকে ১৩ কিলোমিটার, যে কোন গাড়ী নিয়ে য়াওয়া যায়।
